Project Breakdown
In the early stages of Audrey's Cabinet, I took on the role of Lead Designer, working directly with the founder, Sohje, to bring her vision to life. After several meetings, I developed the brand’s logo, using Sohje’s own handwriting and sketches that she had accumulated over the years. This personal touch became the cornerstone of the brand's identity, reflecting its handmade, artisanal approach to skincare.
Project Overview:
As the singular designer, I was responsible for crafting the entire visual identity of Audrey's Cabinet. This included creating textured labels for various skincare products, ensuring each design was both aesthetically pleasing and aligned with the brand's organic, vegan ethos. I conducted extensive research into skincare branding, focusing on appropriate iconography for organic and vegan companies, as well as understanding the preferences and expectations of natural skincare brand users.
Brand Development:
Working hand in hand with Sohje, I ensured that every design element—from the logo to the labels—communicated the brand's commitment to natural, handcrafted skincare. The textured labels not only enhanced the product's shelf appeal but also reinforced the brand's authentic, homegrown narrative.
Digital Presence:
In addition to physical branding, I developed web and social media assets to establish and grow Audrey's Cabinet's online presence. This included designing visuals that would resonate with the brand's target audience, contributing to its steady growth despite launching during the challenging times of the pandemic.
Outcome:
The branding and design work played a significant role in establishing Audrey's Cabinet as a unique and growing presence in the natural skincare market. The company, which began as a startup during the pandemic, has seen slow but consistent growth, driven by a strong, personal brand identity and a commitment to quality and authenticity.
